Hello
I'm Rob Wadmore For many years I was a Technical Officer and then Senior Business Analyst in the Telecom/IT Industry. I left the office to live and work in a community on Great Barrier Island doing hands on work including fencing, infrastructure & vehicle maintenance and support. I am also a musician/ songwriter with a few gigs and recordings under my belt. I’ve ridden and worked on bikes since building my first one at age 13. Finally qualified as a bike mechanic / wheel builder in 2020. I also work regularly at New Lynn and Queen's Wharf Ecomatters Bike Hubs as a contract bike mechanic. For some years I’ve been interested in Northland cycle trails organising the Donnellys Crossing Spring Ride in 2017 and am now undertaking a social enterprise with one simple goal: Get people on bikes! We want to help new (and old) cyclists, people wanting to get fit, and all those who want to cycle but believe that getting on a bike is too hard or expensive, discover they can do it! How does this work? We run pop up Bike Studio/ Workshops that offer:
We can bring Bike Studios to your place. Just fill in the feedback form or email [email protected]. |
Why are we doing this? We believe cycling creates many benefits for individuals and also a sustainable healthy community. We dream of cycling bringing economic growth and prosperity back to communities by building cycle trails and getting people on bikes. For some this dream is unreachable and it may even seem too hard to get on a bike or share the fun of cycling in beautiful places. We want to help those people get on board, join us on the trail. Please send any feedback or ideas you may have relating to this using the form below and I'll be in touch: |
